Front End Developer

Salt is currently hiring a Front-End Developer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

This role is remote, requires B2B in Europe and is a 12 month contract fully remote.

We are looking for a Web Front-End Software Engineer to design and build scalable front-end services that power payment experiences, localized pricing, and multi-currency capabilities. You will work closely with Product, UX, and backend engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions and drive technical improvements across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL.
• Build GraphQL resolvers and integrate with REST APIs for payment, pricing, and currency services.
• Develop and maintain type-safe API integrations using OpenAPI and GraphQL code generation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and deliver new features.
• Implement A/B testing and feature experimentation.
• Improve application performance, reliability, testing, and observability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and production support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in front-end or full-stack software engineering.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL.
• Experience building BFF services or API gateways.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI, and modern build tooling.
• Experience with automated testing, production support, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and code review skills.
