Golang Developer

Salt is currently hiring a Golang Developer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

We are looking for a Software Engineer II (Golang Developer) to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will develop high-quality technical solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Go (Golang).
• Build scalable, high-performance microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support system reliability.
• Develop and maintain applications on AWS.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of professional Go (Golang) development experience.
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Solid understanding of:
• Goroutines, Channels, Interfaces, and Generics
• Unit and integration testing
• REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, JWT, and OAuth
• Microservices architecture
• Data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
