We’re seeking an experienced Health & Safety Business Partner to join a highly collaborative team supporting a large and complex operational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned H&S professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing leaders and helping organisations embed practical safety solutions that make a real difference.
About the Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Delivery Manager, you’ll provide expert health and safety advice across a diverse operational portfolio. You’ll partner closely with leaders and stakeholders, supporting the implementation of health and safety programmes, managing risk, conducting investigations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role offers a balance of strategic thinking and operational delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being both hands-on and influential.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders to improve health and safety outcomes.
- Support delivery of regional health and safety programmes and initiatives.
- Conduct incident investigations, including complex events.
- Coach and mentor leaders and stakeholders to build capability.
- Monitor health and safety performance and compliance activities.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects.
- Facilitate risk assessments and manage risk controls.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple sites.
About You
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ health and safety experience in a business partnering, advisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and risk management principles.
- Experience in complex, multi-site or highly regulated environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong investigation, reporting and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to influence, coach and support leaders at all levels.
- A proactive, adaptable and hands-on approach.
