Recruitment Consultant

Salt is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of our established Wellington Business Support & Operations desk. You’ll step into an established market with existing clients, an active candidate network and a strong reputation – giving you the platform to hit the ground running

From there, the opportunity is yours to shape.

You’ll have the autonomy to run your desk like your own business – leveraging existing relationships, winning new clients, growing your network and building your personal brand in the market and identify opportunities to expand into complementary markets.

What you’ll be doing

Initially, you’ll focus on recruiting Business Support and Operations professionals, but this role offers more than simply maintaining an existing desk. As you establish yourself, you’ll have the opportunity to extend your reach into complementary disciplines, develop new specialisations and build additional revenue streams aligned to your strengths, interest and market opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Recruiting across permanent, contract and temporary opportunities
• Growing existing relationships and winning new business
• Building strong Wellington market networks
• Managing end-to-end recruitment from briefing to placement and aftercare
• Attending networking and industry events
• Building talent communities across Business Support and Operations
• Supporting candidates and contractors throughout their journey
• Identifying opportunities to expand into new disciplines
• Collaborating across Salt to deliver broader talent solutions

About you

You’ll have agency recruitment experience and a genuine passion for sales, business development and relationship building.

You’re commercially minded, curious, ambitious and confident building relationships at all levels. Most importantly, you’re someone who creates opportunities rather than waits for them.
