IT Data Architect – Azure | Sandton (On-site)
A leader in alternative risk and insurance solutions, is looking for a senior Data Architect to design and drive modern, enterprise-scale Azure data platforms.
🔍 What you’ll do:
- Architect and deliver scalable Azure data platforms (Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, SQL)
- Lead data modernisation from legacy to cloud
- Enable analytics & BI (Power BI) across the business
✅ Non-negotiable:
- Strong data modelling experience (star/snowflake, semantic layers)
- Proven Databricks experience (hands-on)
- Experience managing large-scale data environments / multiple data lakes
- Strong focus on data quality frameworks and monitoring
- 7+ years in enterprise data architecture
🧠 Tech stack:
Azure (SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory), Databricks, Power BI, CI/CD, Terraform
