Oracle Implementation Project Manager | Contract | 12 Months | Cape Town

About the Role

A leading global investment firm with a significant Cape Town presence is seeking an experienced Oracle Implementation Project Manager to join their technology team on a 12-month contract.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery of an Oracle implementation within a complex, high-stakes financial services environment where precision, stakeholder management, and delivery discipline are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle Oracle implementation – from planning and scoping through to go-live and stabilisation
• Define and manage project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation
• Coordinate across internal business stakeholders, IT teams, and Oracle implementation partners
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests with rigour
• Drive alignment between technical delivery and business requirements
• Ensure governance, reporting, and escalation structures are in place and followed
• Manage vendor and third-party relationships throughout the project
• Own stakeholder communication at senior and executive level

Requirements

• Proven experience managing Oracle ERP/Cloud implementations end-to-end
• Financial services or investment management environment experience strongly preferred
• Strong programme governance and PMO capability
• Excellent stakeholder management – comfortable operating at C-suite level
• PMP, Prince2, or equivalent certification advantageous
• Based in Cape Town or able to commit to Cape Town-based engagement
