Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for their employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration, maintaining complance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ADP, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of U.S. payroll practices.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP.

Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and direct deposit information.

Review and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Administer payroll-related deductions, including benefits, retirement contributions (401(k)), wage garnishments, and other voluntary or mandatory deductions.

Calculate overtime, shift differentials, paid time off, and other earnings in accordance with company policies and labor laws.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and support payroll tax filings.

Reconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, and general ledger accounts.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, payroll reconciliations, and audits.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and employee data management.

Maintain payroll documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, and system efficiencies.

Qualifications

3+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience.

Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Vantage, ADP TotalSource, or another ADP payroll platform.

Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws, FLSA requirements, federal and state payroll taxes, and wage and hour regulations.

Experience processing multi-state payroll.

Knowledge of payroll tax filings, W-2s, 401(k) deductions, garnishments, and benefits administration.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.

Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
