We’re working with a global payroll & workforce solutions organisation to hire a Payroll & Billing Executive.

This is a great starting point if you’re early in your career and want exposure to regional payroll, different industries, and real client work across Australia & New Zealand.

You’ll be joining a supportive team of 12 based in KL, with training, coaching, and a manager who always has your back. If you’re hungry to learn and want something that will make you more marketable in the long run, this role is worth exploring.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Handle weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll runs for a set group of clients (100-300 headcount to start, growing to 500+ over time).
  • Work with Australian payroll terms & rules – superannuation, awards, basic legislation and don’t worry, you’ll learn along the way!
  • Transfer payroll data from Excel or client systems into the internal platform.
  • Spot errors, check what doesn’t look right, and fix issues before payroll goes out.
  • Manage client questions or raised issues with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Generate invoices for clients after payroll is completed.
  • Collaborate closely with the payroll team and customer care team.

You’ll be learning a lot in the first few months – new clients, new rules, new ways of working. The team helps each other, and everyone grows together.

Who they’re looking for:

  • Fresh grads or early-career talent with at least 1 year experience (finance, accounting, payroll, admin).
  • Someone who is detail-obsessed because people’s pay is serious!
  • Strong communication in English (written & verbal).
  • Good time management – able to prioritise what comes first.
  • Customer-first mindset.
  • Hungry to learn, open to feedback, not afraid to ask questions.
  • Bonus if you’ve touched Australian payroll or know the terminology but your manager train you if you’re willing to learn.
