Pre-Sales Architect – collaboration platforms
We’re looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Architect to take ownership of the design and technical direction for enterprise collaboration, unified communications, contact centre, and customer experience solutions.
This is a strong fit for a technical specialist who is equally comfortable in a pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture capacity – someone who can sit with a client, unpack what they actually need, build a secure and scalable solution around it, and then guide the delivery team through to a successful rollout. You’ll be seen as a trusted advisor by both clients and internal teams, turning complicated business problems into practical, forward-looking technology solutions.
The role calls for deep, hands-on expertise across collaboration platforms, unified communications (UC), contact centre (CC) and customer experience (CX) technologies, systems integration, and enterprise architecture more broadly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Solution Architecture & Design
- Architect enterprise collaboration, UC, CC and CX solutions that are properly aligned to the business objectives behind them.
- Turn business requirements into detailed technical architectures, designs and implementation roadmaps.
- Assess and recommend the right collaboration platforms, UC technologies and CX solutions for the client’s specific needs.
- Build architecture that is scalable, secure, high-performing and built to last.
- Produce solution architecture documentation – high-level and low-level designs, architecture diagrams, technical specs, integration designs and implementation plans.
Client Engagement & Pre-Sales
- Act as the trusted technical voice throughout the sales cycle.
- Sit with customers to properly understand both business and technical requirements.
- Run solution workshops, discovery sessions and technical presentations.
- Support the business development team with compelling, technically sound proposals.
- Get involved in RFP/RFI responses, Scope of Work development, pricing exercises, proposal reviews and client presentations.
- Put together executive summaries and technical recommendations for client stakeholders.
Enterprise Collaboration & Integration
- Active Directory / Entra ID
- CRM platforms
- ERP systems
- ITSM solutions

- Develop technical specifications for custom development and systems integration work.
- Define the API, web services and data exchange requirements needed to support business workflows and automation.
Contact Centre & Customer Experience Solutions
- Design and architect enterprise-grade contact centre and CX solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud and hybrid customer engagement platforms.
- Make sure CX solutions line up with operational, security and business requirements.
- Support migration and transformation work from legacy platforms onto modern, cloud-based services.
Governance, Compliance & Delivery Support
- Ensure every architecture design holds up against security best practice, data privacy regulation and internal governance standards.
- Own the handover of proposed solutions to delivery teams for implementation.
- Provide technical oversight through implementation and deployment.
- Lead customer Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives.
- Review, validate and sign off on final solution designs and proposals.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of enterprise collaboration technologies.
- A solid grasp of enterprise networking principles, network protocols and topologies, and security architecture and controls.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture frameworks, software architecture principles, and design patterns and best practice.
- Expertise in enterprise integration using APIs, REST/SOA services, data exchange protocols, and identity and access management solutions.
Contact Centre & CX Technologies
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions across one or more of the following platforms:
- Cisco Contact Centre & Unified Communications
- Cisco Voice Solutions
- Genesys PureCloud (Genesys Cloud CX)
- NICE CXone
- Amazon Connect
- Microsoft Teams Voice
- Zoom Contact Center
- Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise
- Other enterprise-grade CC, UC and CX platforms
Consulting & Pre-Sales Skills
- Proven pre-sales and technical consulting track record.
- Confidence engaging with executives, business leaders and technical stakeholders alike.
- Strong requirements gathering, solution design and proposal development ability.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to turn conceptual designs into practical, implementable solutions.
Problem Solving & Leadership
- Advanced troubleshooting and analytical ability.
- Strong decision-making in complex technical environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, Unified Communications, Collaboration Platforms, Contact Centre or Customer Experience technologies.
- Proven experience in enterprise solution design and technical consulting.
Preferred
- Vendor certifications across collaboration, UC, CC and cloud technologies.
- Cloud platform certifications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Contact centre and CX platform certifications.
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent.
