Senior / Managed Services Pre-Sales Architect
The Senior Services Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert who also carries a pre-sales persona – working alongside clients and sales/delivery teams in a value co-creation process to design Technical Services, Support Services and Managed Services solutions across multiple technology domains
.This role owns the development of competitive, innovative, secure, multi-year, commercially viable Managed Services solutions, along with the costing inputs that feed into the commercial models
.You’ll apply both solution design and sales skills to engage decision-makers and help close opportunities
.There’s real scope here to design solutions alongside some of the most innovative global organisations, working with technologies that accelerate digital transformation objectives and outcomes
.In some cases you’ll stay engaged during and after implementation of the services you’ve designed, and may be involved in renewals down the line
.Key Responsibilitie
- sGuide a virtual team of domain experts to orchestrate the development of secure, multi-year services solutions
- .Design complex Professional Services (PS), Support Services (SS) and Managed Services (MS) solutions that meet client requirements by integrating technology and service design across multiple domains
- .Work across multiple teams in shaping the PS, SS and MS offering
- .Test and validate new design features and delivery models, or recommend improvements to existing service offers already in market
- .Own the service design deliverables of the solution, interfacing with multiple teams and partners to ensure supportability
- .Direct the validation process by securing sign-off from technical, service and costing stakeholders
- .Lead the service design of client solutions so they’re commercially competitive while mitigating risk
- .Map client requirements against the proposed service elements and architectures, and lead end-to-end solution development (Cloud Services, Technology Architectures, SIAM, SLA, ITSM leading practices)
- .Develop and execute a consulting approach resulting in a consolidated statement of requirements, scope, transition documents and costing – covering the need for change, the role of IT, the AS-IS versus desired state, gap analysis and roadmap, and the impacts, consequences and benefits of the intended transformation across people, process and technology
- .Support sales teams in presenting an architecture solution to clients, with a focus on cost savings or uncovering further growth opportunities, by discovering and analysing the client’s current architecture, platforms and operating models
- .Share client outcomes and market conditions with other stakeholders so the global offering leads and services community can evolve strategy and develop innovative solutions going forward
.Required Experienc
- eProvide coaching and mentoring, acting as advisor and decision-maker in service design situations
- .Support sales teams through commercial model discussions with the client
- .Identify all service costs and populate cost models accurately, giving full visibility of costs tied to service delivery over the contract term
- .Create solution designs that feed into the commercial model and secure sign-off from relevant stakeholders
- .Take responsibility for vendor management depending on the service offer, ensuring a well-coordinated transition to the service delivery teams
.Knowledge & Attribute
- sAdvanced knowledge of PS, SS and MS delivery and service models, including cloud, global and distributed delivery models
- .Ability to work with costing models in partnership with sales and finance stakeholders
- .Advanced proficiency in Application and Cloud/Infrastructure PS, SS and MS service models
- .Ability to communicate the potential improvements and value of solutions to stakeholders at every level
- .Ability to facilitate workshops with clients and internal teams to uncover requirements, present solutions and secure buy-in
- .Ability to work well within a team, contributing to shared success while making a personal impact, particularly in a matrixed organisation
- .Advanced knowledge of emerging trends in technology, PS/SS/MS integration, application development (DevSecOps), cloud-native service applications, Microsoft development platforms, and open-source software, along with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and GCP, data analytics, containers, RPA, IoT and intelligent automation
- .Strong analytical ability to interrogate and interpret data and other inputs
- .A genuine interest in staying on top of industry trends and best practice
- .Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology/Systems or a related field
- .Certification and working knowledge of ITIL, Service Management and Integration, and Automation/AI/Analytics is preferred
- .Scaled Agile certification or equivalent is desirable
- .Additional desirable certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials Training, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Training, or the latest equivalent
- .A strong, demonstrable track record designing services solutions for large enterprise accounts
- .Advanced experience structuring large, multi-year, profitable contracts
- .Advanced solution planning and deal-shaping expertise, with the ability to build compelling value propositions as part of the solution design
- .Advanced experience working across global delivery models, multiple geographies and industries
