Project Coordinator – Higher Education
We’re looking for a proactive Project Coordinator to join a leading Australian university on an initial 12-month day-rate contract, supporting high-impact transformation projects across the portfolio.

THE ROLE:
As a Project Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting project delivery, governance, and reporting across multiple initiatives. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are well governed, financially sound, and running to schedule.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing program governance and assurance support.
- Managing risk, issue, and RAID reporting through the university’s PPM tool.
- Assisting Project Managers with financial analysis and forecasting, extracting data from Workday (or similar enterprise systems).
- Coordinating end-to-end procurement activities, including writing memos, tracking purchase orders, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Supporting the team with planning and scheduling, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and dependencies are clearly defined.
- Maintaining all project artefacts, ensuring approvals and document control compliance.
- Organising and participating in resource management engagements, monitoring allocations, and escalating resource constraints as needed.
- Providing secretariat support for project governance forums, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
- Coordinating logistics, room bookings, and implementation activities to keep projects running smoothly.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience supporting projects or programs within a complex or enterprise-scale environment (Higher Education experience highly regarded).
- Proficiency using Workday or similar enterprise systems to extract and report financial data.
- Hands-on experience using PPM tools to manage project schedules, risks, and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, confident in analysis, data manipulation, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of project governance, assurance, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, someone who can anticipate needs and keep things moving.
