Project Manager – Transformation (12-Month Contract)

A leading government organisation is embarking on a series of high-impact transformation initiatives and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to play a pivotal role in driving successful outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a complex, large-scale program that will directly impact how services are delivered to the community.

The Opportunity

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for helping to deliver initiatives across multiple workstreams. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, program leaders, and delivery teams to ensure digital transformation needs are met. This role will suit someone who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys influencing at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Help to define project goals, strategies and plans aligned to program objectives
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive engagement and buy-in
• Communicate project status updates through regular reports and meetings
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, meeting notes, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with organisational processes and governance requirements.

About You

• Proven experience managing projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments
• Experience within government, public sector, or large-scale organisations is highly regarded
