Project Manager Business Development

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support and drive the agency’s growth and new business initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in managing pitches, proposals, presentations, and RFP responses from kickoff through submission, ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly, on time, and with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of pitches, proposals, presentations, RFPs, and new business opportunities from kickoff through final submission.
  • Develop and manage timelines, workbacks, deliverables, approvals, and stakeholder communications to ensure all opportunities progress efficiently.
  • Coordinate the development of strategic documents, presentations, pitch materials, and client-facing proposals, ensuring a high standard of quality, consistency, and professionalism.
  • Partner closely with agency leadership to support and advance broader growth and business development initiatives.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Align and manage internal stakeholders across strategy, creative, account management, production, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Facilitate communication, follow-ups, and decision-making processes to keep projects moving forward and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies while driving solutions to maintain momentum.

Agency Marketing & Visibility:

  • Support agency brand-building efforts through the coordination of industry events, speaking engagements, awards submissions, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
  • Help strengthen the agency’s market presence by ensuring visibility opportunities are effectively planned and executed.

Research & Growth Operations:

  • Conduct and maintain prospect, market, and competitive intelligence to support strategic positioning and business development efforts.
  • Improve operational processes, documentation, and workflows within the growth function to enhance scalability, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Organize and maintain critical business development information and resources to support ongoing growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, business development, growth, account management, marketing, or agency operations within a creative, digital, branding, communications, PR, or marketing agency environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting agency new business efforts, including pitches, proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and competing deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience developing or coordinating client-facing materials, presentations, proposals, and strategic documents.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused with excellent follow-through and judgment.
  • Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with senior leadership on high-visibility initiatives.
  • Strong interest in agency growth, marketing, branding, industry trends, and business development.
  • Experience supporting awards programs, speaking engagements, events, partnerships, or agency marketing initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
