Regional Financial Controller, APAC | Singapore
Many regional Financial Controller opportunities promise influence. Few genuinely deliver it.
This is a rare opportunity to join a profitable, globally established technology business at an exciting stage of its APAC growth journey. As the senior finance leader for the region, you’ll work closely with both local and global leadership, helping shape how finance supports commercial decision-making, scalability and long-term growth across multiple markets.
You’ll inherit a region that is performing well, giving you the platform to focus not only on maintaining excellence but also on strengthening and evolving the finance function. From enhancing controls and reporting to driving transformation initiatives and supporting strategic decisions, you’ll have a visible impact on the business.
Just as importantly, you’ll be joining a collaborative and down-to-earth culture where people are trusted to take ownership, challenge constructively and continuously improve the way things are done.
The Opportunity
Our client is a global technology business with operations across multiple international markets. As they continue investing in APAC, they are looking for an experienced Regional Financial Controller to lead the regional finance function and act as a trusted partner to both regional and global stakeholders.
This is not a role where you’ll simply oversee the numbers.
You’ll connect financial performance with business outcomes, partnering with leaders across the region to provide insight, drive accountability and support better decision-making. You’ll move comfortably between strategic conversations and operational execution, whether that’s guiding forecasts, improving controls, leading transformation projects or helping stakeholders understand the story behind the numbers.
The environment will suit someone who enjoys building, improving and influencing, while ensuring the fundamentals remain strong.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead financial reporting, planning and analysis activities across APAC.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.
- Partner with regional leadership teams to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee statutory reporting, tax and audit requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including systems and process improvements.
- Act as the key finance liaison between APAC operations and global headquarters.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility and financial performance.
- Lead, coach and develop finance resources across the region.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- Experience in a Financial Controller, Regional Finance Manager or similar finance leadership role.
- Strong technical accounting, reporting and controls expertise.
- Experience operating within a multinational environment across APAC.
- A track record of partnering with business leaders beyond finance.
- Experience leading process improvement, controls enhancement or finance transformation initiatives.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
- CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to influence at senior levels.
Who will thrive here?
You’ll likely enjoy this role if you’re someone who gets energy from making a tangible impact. This business is looking for a finance leader who doesn’t just report the numbers, but helps shape the conversations and decisions behind them.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
