SAP BASIS – Open Text Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS – OpenText Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise transformation programme in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering OpenText platforms, supporting SAP integrations, and delivering OpenText implementations and upgrade projects within complex enterprise environments.

You will be responsible for managing, configuring, upgrading, and supporting OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, OTDS, xECM, and SAP ArchiveLink integrations, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

OpenText Administration

• Administer and support OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, OTDS, and Extended ECM (xECM) environments.
• Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot platform, application, and integration-related issues.
• Collaborate with SAP BASIS, infrastructure, database, and network teams.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery validation activities.

Installation, Upgrades & Migration

• Install and configure OpenText platforms including:
• OpenText Content Server
• Archive Server
• OTDS
• OpenText Archive Center
• Extended ECM (xECM)
• Configure application servers, web servers, databases, and storage components.
• Plan and execute OpenText upgrades, patching, and enhancement activities.
• Perform impact assessments, compatibility analysis, upgrade rehearsals, and production cutovers.
• Support full lifecycle OpenText implementation and upgrade projects.

SAP Integration

• Manage and support SAP ArchiveLink integrations.
• Configure and maintain OpenText xECM integration with SAP S/4HANA.
• Support document archiving, retrieval processes, workflows, and business content management.
• Configure Business Workspaces and Business References.
• Troubleshoot SAP/OpenText interfaces and workflow integrations.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• OpenText Content Server Administration
• OpenText Archive Server
• OpenText Extended ECM (xECM)
• OpenText Directory Services (OTDS)
• OpenText Archive Center
• Minimum 8 years of OpenText administration experience.
• Proven delivery of 2+ full lifecycle OpenText implementations.
• Experience completing 2+ OpenText upgrade projects.
• Strong background in OpenText and SAP integration projects.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience working within SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes is highly preferred.
