Senior Agribusiness Manager

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Agribusiness Manager to join a major financial services organisation in Moree.

You’ll take ownership of an established portfolio of dryland agribusiness customers, providing tailored financial solutions while developing long-term relationships with farming businesses across the region.

This is a relationship-led position combining portfolio management, business development, credit assessment and commercial lending. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their operations, seasonal requirements and longer-term growth plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of dryland agribusiness customers
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with farming businesses across the region
• Understand customers’ operations, financial position and future business plans
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and win new business
• Analyse cash flows, financial statements and lending requirements
• Assess the commercial viability and credit risk of new and existing lending opportunities
• Structure and prepare lending proposals for larger and more complex transactions
• Exercise lending authority where appropriate
• Maintain strong portfolio credit quality while driving sustainable growth and profitability
• Develop new customer relationships throughout the local agribusiness market
• Work collaboratively with internal specialists to provide customers with appropriate financial solutions

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in agribusiness banking, commercial banking or agricultural finance
• Strong knowledge of dryland farming and agricultural businesses
• Experience managing a portfolio of agribusiness or commercial customers
• Strong credit assessment and financial analysis capability
• Confidence analysing cash flows, financial statements and business performance
• Experience structuring commercial lending solutions
• Strong relationship management and business development skills
• The ability to understand the opportunities and challenges faced by regional agricultural businesses
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to developing new business and growing an existing portfolio

Previous experience as a Senior Agribusiness Manager, Agribusiness Manager, Agribusiness Banker or Relationship Manager would be highly regarded.
