Senior Consultant – SAP BW Migration Expert

Are you an experienced SAP BW Consultant with a strong background in enterprise data migrations? Do you have expertise in SAP BW, Databricks and Azure and enjoy solving complex data transformation challenges? We’re looking for a Senior SAP BW Migration Expert to lead a critical assessment and migration planning engagement for a large-scale enterprise SAP BW landscape. This is a high-impact consulting role where you’ll define the roadmap for a major cloud

As the SAP BW Subject Matter Expert, you’ll take ownership of assessing the client’s existing SAP BW estate and developing the migration strategy that will underpin the future implementation programme. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you’ll analyse the current landscape, document architecture, estimate migration complexity and effort, and produce a phased migration roadmap that gains stakeholder approval.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical SAP BW expertise with excellent consulting, documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the assessment of a complex enterprise SAP BW environment
• Produce detailed architecture and landscape documentation
• Create an inventory of SAP BW assets and dependencies
• Analyse and classify migration complexity
• Develop migration effort estimates and delivery wave plans
• Capture source-to-report lineage and metadata
• Review custom ABAP transformation logic and embedded business rules
• Assess historical data migration requirements into a modern cloud lakehouse architecture
• Work closely with client data owners to validate deliverables and obtain sign-off
• Provide recommendations that will form the blueprint for the wider migration programme

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring extensive experience delivering SAP BW transformation and migration programmes, with the ability to bridge both legacy SAP technologies and modern cloud data platforms.

• 8+ years of SAP BW consulting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SAP BW
• BW on HANA
• BW/4HANA
• Composite Providers
• ADSOs
• InfoSources
• BEx Queries
• Transformation routines
• Strong ABAP reading skills, with the ability to interpret undocumented custom logic
• Experience producing technical assessments, architecture documentation and migration strategies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
