Software Development Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer III to design and build scalable backend services and APIs. You will work on high-impact systems that power core product experiences. This role requires strong ownership of technical solutions, hands-on coding, and collaboration across teams.

What You Will Do
1. Backend Engineering
a. Design, develop, and maintain services using Ruby, Java, and Go.
b. Architect scalable, reliable, and secure microservices and APIs.
c. Implement event-driven systems and asynchronous processing pipelines.
d. Optimize system performance, resilience, and availability.

2. Collaboration & Delivery
a. Partner with mobile/web engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.
b. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure reliability and observability.
c. Participate in sprint planning, system design, and code reviews.

3. Quality & Best Practices
a. Build unit, integration, and performance tests for services.
b. Ensure CI/CD pipelines are integrated with automated quality gates.
c. Drive technical excellence through design reviews and documentation.

What You Will Need
1. 4-6 years of backend development experience.
2. Strong profi ciency in Ruby, Java, or Go.
3. Experience with distributed systems, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event queues.
4. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to Have
1. Experience in fi ntech, payments, or transaction-heavy systems.
2. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
