Are you a commercially minded data professional who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful strategic insight?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to provide high-level analytical expertise and evidence-based advice at a corporate level, supporting key strategic initiatives across the Education and Students Portfolio space.

This is a high-impact role where your insights will directly inform decision-making, shape institutional strategy, and improve student outcomes.

The Opportunity

In this business-critical role, you will work autonomously to deliver strategic analytics initiatives within defined timeframes. Your role will be critical role in elevating the university’s data capability, day to day responsibilities will include:

• Providing sophisticated data analysis and evaluation expertise at a corporate level
• Delivering strategic, evidence-based insights to inform executive decision-making
• Design and shape reports and dashboards that support institutional priorities
• Set KPIs for analytics projects and ensure measurable outcomes
• Streamline and improve data collection processes for accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure the effective administration of surveys and uphold rigorous data quality standards
• Resolve complex analytical challenges and provide trusted, independent advice
• Identify resourcing requirements and supporting staff leadership

About You

You are a confident, commercially aware data professional who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking. You bring:

• Significant experience in data analysis within a complex organisation (university or other education environments)
• Strong capability in translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Experience establishing KPIs and performance frameworks
• Experience in compiling, validating and analysing data from various sources
• Advanced skills in analytics tools (R, Python, SQL, Julia) and reporting platforms including SPSS software for data analysis
• Advanced analytics and process design skills
• Proven ability to manage survey data and ensure high data governance standards
• Strong judgement, problem-solving capability and the ability to operate autonomously
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at executive level
