Senior Data Engineer | Cape Town

Are you an expert-level SQL Developer and Data Engineer who thrives on building high-performance, scalable data solutions?

Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their Technology & Innovation team in Cape Town. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, data modelling, database performance tuning, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

What you’ll bring:

10+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or related disciplines
Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Expertise in data modelling (3NF, star and snowflake schemas)
Proven track record optimizing large-scale databases and data pipelines
Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lakes, APIs, JSON/XML, and modern data integration patterns
A passion for quality, performance, scalability, and mentoring others
