Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

A leading APAC digital marketplace and technology business is building a brand-new product focused on workforce and market intelligence-a data-driven platform designed to help businesses better understand talent availability, market trends, and hiring opportunities across multiple regions.

They are looking for a Senior Product Engineer (React / TypeScript / GraphQL) who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and data-someone who enjoys building user-facing products that solve meaningful business problems.

You’ll join a cross-functional product squad collaborating with teams across Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand, working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL
• Build intuitive, scalable, and data-driven product experiences including dashboards, insights platforms, and analytics interfaces
• Partner closely with Product, UX, and Data teams to shape user journeys and product features
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, contributing to product discovery, technical design, and agile delivery
• Support backend integrations and cloud deployment practices within modern engineering environments
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices
• Deliver highly performant, maintainable, and scalable product experiences

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience within product-led environments
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Commercial experience with GraphQL
• Exposure to AWS or cloud-native development environments
• Experience building data-driven applications, dashboards, analytics products, or marketplace platforms
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Skills

• Backend engineering exposure
• Experience with Python
• Exposure to data engineering or analytics workflows
• Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, platform, or digital product environments
