Software Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our client’s team on a short-term contract. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, particularly with TypeScript and Node.js, and a solid understanding of modern API architectures, serverless technologies, and AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Build and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs to support modern web applications and services.
• Develop and optimize solutions leveraging serverless and edge-based architectures.
• Implement and maintain automated testing, including unit, integration, and contract testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software development and deployment.
• Work within Server-Side Rendering (SSR) environments and integrate content management solutions such as Kontent.ai.
• Contribute to AI-driven development initiatives, including prompt engineering and schema design.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and deliver reliable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong professional experience developing applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience designing, building, and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of serverless computing and edge-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and automated testing strategies.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with SSR frameworks and environments.
• Experience working with Kontent.ai.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and schema design for AI-powered applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, particularly in AI-related development.
• Exposure to AI integrations, LLM-powered applications, or generative AI technologies.
• Experience working in fast-paced, short-term delivery environments.
