The Technical Director will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, supporting delivery teams, advising senior stakeholders, and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technical direction and provide oversight across complex projects.
• Support architecture, design, and technology decisions.
• Work with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Oversee project delivery, quality, risk, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead and mentor technical teams while promoting strong engineering standards.
• Support project planning, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Contribute to client proposals, discovery sessions, and solution planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery, expand existing work, and introduce new technologies.
• Stay informed on developments across software engineering, cloud technology, data, and AI.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience overseeing multiple technical projects or workstreams.
• Proven ability to lead senior engineering teams and guide complex technical decisions.
• Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting technical discovery, solution design, or pre-sales activities.
• Understanding of modern engineering practices and emerging technologies.
• Ability to balance technical quality, delivery timelines, and commercial requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in consulting, professional services, SaaS, or digital transformation environments.
• Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
• Exposure to project budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Experience with AI-enabled products or solutions.
