Location: Based in Austin, Texas or willing to relocate to support the establishment of the local office.
Reports To: CEO
The Opportunity
A fast-growing B2B SaaS company is expanding its footprint in North America and is seeking a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves VP of Sales to build and lead its U.S. outbound and field sales organization.
This is a foundational leadership role responsible for establishing a high-performing revenue engine, driving net-new ARR, and scaling a sales team to double in size within 12 months. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Sales will own pipeline building, team hiring and mentoring, outbound strategy execution, and the creation of repeatable sales processes across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Leadership
- Own revenue performance and net-new ARR across the U.S.
- Drive predictable pipeline generation and revenue growth through outbound and field sales.
- Set and manage team targets, coaching Directors and regional reps to achieve results.
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 12 sales representatives, with plans to double within 12 months.
- Recruit, hire, and scale regional reps across the U.S.
- Foster a high-performance culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Build and execute a repeatable, high-performing outbound sales strategy targeting mid-market and SMB accounts.
- Implement scalable processes, KPIs, and forecasting frameworks.
- Partner with Directors and reps to drive pipeline and improve conversion performance.
Market Expansion & Client Engagement
- Establish and expand the company’s presence in Austin, Texas, while covering key U.S. markets.
- Identify new market opportunities and support strategic partnerships.
- Represent the company in key client engagements when needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align go-to-market strategy.
- Provide market insights to executive leadership to inform product and growth decisions.
Candidate Profile
Leadership Experience
- Seasoned VP / Head of Sales or equivalent with experience building and scaling outbound and field teams in the U.S.
- Comfortable recruiting, mentoring, and managing regional reps.
- Track record of delivering net-new ARR and scaling revenue in high-growth environments.
SaaS Sales Expertise
- Strong B2B SaaS experience, ideally with retail vertical exposure.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics: ARR, pipeline velocity, CAC, churn, and LTV.
Traits & Mindset
- Hands-on, self-starter, pipeline-builder, coach/mentor.
- Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving global startup environments.
- Scrappy, resourceful, and able to scale teams and processes quickly.
