They are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to support the smooth and efficient running of the workshop, ensuring quality workmanship, strong productivity, and an excellent customer experience.
About the Role
In this hands-on leadership role, you will:
- Lead, coach and support a team of automotive technicians and apprentices.
- Manage daily workshop workload and job allocation.
- Monitor job progress and keep the Service team updated.
- Complete and quality-check Repair Orders, including warranty documentation.
- Provide technical expertise in diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.
- Investigate and assist with any rework as required.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and general stock levels.
- Support the Service Manager with workflow, safety, and overall workshop performance.
- Drive a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- A Heavy Diesel Mechanical Qualification.
- A clean NZ Driver Licence (Class 4 minimum).
- 5+ years’ experience as an Automotive Technician and proven leadership ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach and a passion for quality.
- The ability to motivate, train and develop technical staff.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to health, safety, and exceptional customer service.
