Supporting Aotearoa Clinical Trials from psychometrics to placements

Aotearoa Clinical Trials (ACT), New Zealand’s largest hospital-based research network, first engaged us in 2017 to support internal hiring with psychometric testing, particularly prospective employees’ propensity for critical thinking. In 2022, our partnership expanded to include recruitment, and by 2024, we had placed 32 candidates across permanent and fixed-term roles with a 94% fill rate. Alongside this, our People Solutions team continues to support ACT with bespoke psychometric projects – reflecting a trusted, cost-effective partnership built on shared values and tailored to ACT’s not-for-profit status.

Rapid response support for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare played a key role in New Zealand’s COVID-19 response, requiring the organisation to maintain operations throughout by launching a COVID Support Call Centre for its 5,000+ employees. We delivered a complete project team within three weeks – including an in-house Team Leader and Practice Manager to oversee recruitment. To meet the 24/7 operational needs of the call centre, we implemented a creative sourcing strategy targeting a diverse pool of candidates with the flexibility to cover rotating shifts. The result: 100% fill and retention rates, and a +68 NPS score across the two-year project.
