Salary: R30 000,00 to R40 000,00 CTC per month (depending on experience)

Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with solid Sage Accounting experience who enjoys working across the full accounting function in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance and ensuring accurate financial records while supporting the ongoing success of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function using Sage Accounting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL returns.
• Assist with corporate income tax compliance.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Liaise with SARS, auditors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting and tax legislation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years’ accounting experience.
• Sage Accounting experience is essential.
• Experience with SARS eFiling and tax submissions.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE and Corporate Income Tax.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
