Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Solutions Architect to design and deliver cloud-based data platforms for enterprise clients. You will lead the end-to-end architecture and technical delivery of modern data solutions, working closely with engineering, architecture, and business teams in an Agile environment.

This role requires strong Snowflake expertise, hands-on architectural leadership, and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of end-to-end data solutions

• Own Snowflake-based data platform design and implementation

• Guide teams across data engineering, architecture, and QA

• Apply modern data patterns including Data Mesh and Data Fabric

• Define data product strategies and product-led architectures

• Engage stakeholders and ensure high-quality technical delivery

• Ensure solutions meet governance, security, and compliance standards

Required Experience

• Senior/Lead-level experience in data architecture

• Proven delivery of Snowflake data platforms

• Consulting or enterprise delivery background

• Experience leading architectural strategy and delivery teams

• Insurance experience beneficial but not essential

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on Snowflake expertise

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

• Data modelling, warehousing, pipelines, analytics

• ETL/ELT tools (eg DBT), SQL, NoSQL

• Apache Spark and big data technologies

• Python, R, or Java (beneficial)

• Data visualisation and DevOps principles

• Understanding of ML/AI integration in data platforms

Governance & Delivery

• Data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, etc.)

• Agile delivery (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)

• Ability to manage architectural deliverables across timelines and resources
