Head of Creative Studio

In-house

£100k – £120k plus flexible benefits, plus bonus

City of London hybrid, three days on site

Our client is a leader in online trading and investing, operating at significant scale and pace while building brand prestige in a highly competitive category.

The opportunity

They are now actively seeking a Head of Creative Studio to lead a high performing in-house team across growth, product and brand activity for the UK and Ireland. You will set the creative bar, drive measurable impact across lower and mid funnel channels and build an engaged studio culture that delivers swiftly without sacrificing quality.

About the studio

You will lead a multi-discipline team of designers, copywriters, motion specialist and web editor, partnering closely with Marketing Operations and Performance Marketing. The team is relatively new and absolutely talented, so there is genuine scope to coach, develop and create a strong creative community. Expect a fast-paced, commercially-driven environment that prizes iteration and learning.

What you will do

  • Lead and inspire the studio to deliver best in class creative across CRM, performance marketing, website, incentives and acquisition, plus mid funnel activity such as social, content, brand and product marketing.
  • Partner with Acquisition and Performance teams to translate learnings into ongoing creative optimisation that drives growth.
  • Operate the studio as a responsive internal agency, elevating craft and consistency while moving at pace.
  • Build process with Marketing Operations to plan, forecast and resource effectively.
  • Provide clear creative direction, feedback and standards, with roughly 80 percent leadership and 20 percent hands-on contribution.
  • Steward the brand and support productive external agency relationships.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience leading in house creative teams for a brand in a commercially demanding, data informed environment. Experience in agencies is welcome where you have clear exposure to in house ways of working.
  • A proven track record delivering performance creative that iterates quickly and improves outcomes across lower and mid funnel channels.
  • Comfort with pace, ambiguity and change, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A leadership mindset that favours direction, coaching and standards over heavy hands on execution. While being hands-on this role will not suit someone expecting extensive craft time.
  • Excellence in creative direction and communication, with the ability to make complex ideas simple.
  • Expertise in Figma required, with motion experience considered beneficial.

Package and working pattern

  • Base salary in the range of £100,000 to £120,000, plus a 10 percent flexible pot that can be taken as cash, allocated to benefits and pension or a bespoke combination.
  • Performance bonus scheme targeted around 20 to 30 percent.
  • Hybrid working with three days per week in the London office.

If you thrive in high energy, growth-focused settings and love building teams that ship effective creative, we would love to hear from you.
