Key Engineer (.NET)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET & Database Engineer to serve as the technical expert for database integration enhancements, performance optimization, and application support initiatives. This role will work directly with the client and will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex database-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in .NET development, SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database performance tuning, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for database integrations, optimization, and performance improvements across multiple projects.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and database issues.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, database objects, and integration processes.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and root cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD and deployment activities
• Ensure high levels of system performance, availability, scalability, sustainability, and security.
• Work effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
• Participate in after-hours production support, maintenance activities, and deployment releases as required.
• Provide proactive communication, technical guidance, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET technologies and C# development.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database development.
• Minimum 7+ years of senior-level experience with T-SQL, including:
  • Query development and optimization
  • Stored procedure development
  • DDL scripting and database design
• Experience working within the Microsoft technology stack, including Azure DevOps/ADO pipelines.
• Proven expertise in SQL query tuning and database performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments involving multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality, defect-free solutions on time.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
• Experience supporting highly available and secure production environments.
