We are partnering with The Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (“BOINZ”) on their vacancy for a Marketing & Events Manager.
BOINZ are the peak body for building surveyors, some of whom work as building surveyors and building control officials within Local Government. Their vision is to improve the quality and the performance of the built environment.
This vacancy is based in Wellington – 5 days onsite per week.
The Role
This is a key Senior Management role with 1 direct report; the primary focus of the role is to ensure members and stakeholders find value in engagement with BOINZ.
The role is multifaceted, with direct responsibility for:
- successful event outcomes, including creative direction, partnership development and content.
- successful portfolio of Premier Partnerships (maintaining & growing).
- the creative channel content and management of video communications
- topical and quality content for all BOINZ publications.
- general marketing including social media, website, e-newsletters, and communications to members
- project management of new campaigns and initiatives
- assisting promotional activities of other departments
About You:
Ideally you will be a Senior Marketing & Communications generalist who is passionate about sales, marketing, communications and management of large events.
You will have interest in industry and regulatory sectors.
To be successful you will need:
· proven Marketing track record
· experience with Magazine and e-newsletter publishing
· event management experience – 150+ attendees
· social media expertise
· ability to attract industry sponsors and sales capability
· experience managing budgets and financial outcomes
