Salesforce Automation Specialist
Permanent | Melbourne | Hybrid (2 days WFH)
An established, purpose-led organisation is looking for an experienced Salesforce Automation Specialist to take ownership of its Salesforce automation capability and help shape how it engages with its community.
This is a newly created role with genuine scope to make your mark. You’ll bring best practice into the organisation, own the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment and build sophisticated, personalised customer journeys across email and SMS.
Sitting within the broader Marketing team, you’ll combine hands-on Salesforce automation with data, optimisation and performance insights to improve acquisition, engagement and retention.
What you’ll be doing
- Own and optimise Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio and Email Studio.
- Design and build automated, data driven customer journeys based on lifecycle and behavioural triggers.
- Develop segmentation and personalisation strategies to improve engagement and conversion.
- Build and manage email workflows and nurture programs.
- Partner with CRM and data teams to improve data quality, tracking, attribution and audience insights.
- Help connect CRM, website, paid media and Salesforce automation platforms.
- Lead A/B testing and experimentation across email, landing pages and forms.
- Identify friction points across customer journeys and improve digital conversion pathways.
- Work closely with Marketing, Content, CRM and Data teams to deliver targeted, technically sound campaigns.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Experience across Journey Builder, Automation Studio and Email Studio.
- Strong understanding of CRM, audience segmentation and personalisation.
- Experience using data and insights to optimise marketing performance.
- A solid understanding of A/B testing and optimisation frameworks.
- Experience managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across Marketing, CRM, Data and Digital teams.
- Exposure to tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and SEO.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification would be highly regarded.
- Experience within a purpose-led, community or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
Why this role?
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the capability from the ground up, introducing best practice, improving how customer journeys are built and using Salesforce automation, personalisation and data to deliver measurable improvements.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who knows Salesforce Marketing Cloud inside out and wants more ownership than simply executing campaigns.
If you’re a Salesforce Automation Specialist looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely influence how the function operates, I’d love to hear from you.
