SAP CAP Developer – Retail (SAP BTP)

Our client is a global SAP retail consulting partner with over 20 years of experience delivering SAP solutions to leading retailers across Europe, the UK, and South Africa. They specialise in modern SAP retail platforms, cloud transformation, and high-volume retail systems.

They are expanding their SAP BTP & CAP delivery team and are looking for a SAP CAP Developer to support enterprise-scale retail clients.

The Role

You will design and build cloud-native SAP CAP services on SAP BTP, supporting critical retail processes such as orders, inventory, pricing, promotions, and POS integrations. This is a hands-on backend role focused on real production systems, not POCs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SAP CAP applications (Node.js or Java) on SAP BTP

Build and manage CDS data models and service definitions

Create OData / REST APIs for SAP Fiori, POS, and external systems

Integrate with SAP S/4HANA, POS, and retail platforms

Ensure performance, scalability, and security in high-volume retail environments

Support CI/CD, deployments, and multi-environment landscapes

Required Experience

Proven SAP CAP delivery in production

Strong SAP BTP experience (Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma)

Solid CDS modelling and HANA Cloud knowledge

Integration experience with S/4HANA or retail systems (POS, pricing, inventory)

Experience building scalable, secure backend services
