Senior Frontend developer (Javascript, CSS,HTML, SSR, Golang)
- Work for a startup in the Fintech/Credit space
- Founding member of team helping to define their product
- Greenfield project; Create the entire Frontend from scratch
- Open environment and a small and well-knit team.

- ONSITE role (being a startup, the small team needs to be onsite for quick decision making and culture building)

The client :
- Client is a funded SaaS startup building the AI-native operating system for non-bank lenders. Re-imagining how loans are originated, funded, and serviced with a modern fully containerised multi-tier architecture orchestrated by Kubernetes.
The role:
- They are looking for a Senior Frontend engineer hands-on, ambitious, and full of energy – who can own their frontend and can start from scratch.
- Ship product features across FRONTEND (HTML/CSS/Javascript, NextJS/ Material).
- Own key FRONTEND technical decisions and evolve their platform architecture.
- Work directly with the Lead and Founder on product direction and customer needs.
- Interact with early users/customers to deeply understand their problems.
- Mentor the first engineering team as and when they grow.

- Frontend :
- HTMX (interactivity) + Tailwind CSS (styling) / React + Shadcn.
- Infrastructure:
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Postgres, Multi-tier SaaS architecture.
- Methodology:
- “HTML-First” development, high-velocity shipping, and direct customer feedback loops.
The ideal candidate:
- IMPORTANT :
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering in FRONTEND DEVELOPMENT ( HTML, HTMX, CSS, Javascript ) into traditional WEB DEVELOPMENT. Experience of Service side rendering (SSR) of Frontend and not client-side rendering, service side logic with SSR. (Non -Negotiable).
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a “HTML-First” philosophy. You prefer a form submission over a complex axios interceptor chain and believe the browser is powerful enough on its own. Tailwind/CSS Wizardry: You can translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS without relying on bloated React libraries.
- Should be available all 5days in a week at their North Shore office (given it’s a startup and a very small team of 3 developers, 2 other being a Lead developer and a Backend Golang developer). (Non-Negotiable)
PREFERRED :
- At least 2 years working in a fast-paced team where customer needs were as important as the tech. (Preferred)
- Understanding of GOLANG distributed systems/backend background preferred. (Preferred) “Backend Curious”: Comfortable jumping into Go templates or adding anew route when needed.
- Confident with Kubernetes, Postgres, and modern service meshes. (Preferred
- Startup mindset: move fast, solve problems, own outcomes.
- Must be hands-on – coding and shipping are central to this role.
- Able to lead “greenfield” frontend app – defining strategy, stack, etc.
