Senior Software Engineer

This position is ideal for an engineer who has experience building modern, customer-facing digital experiences, particularly within agency or fast-paced product environments. You’ll play a key role in developing scalable web applications, integrating with headless CMS platforms, and supporting content-rich marketing experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance customer-facing digital experiences within a headless CMS environment, primarily Contentful.
• Work with Liquid templates and a custom server-side rendering (SSR) framework to deliver high-performance web experiences.
• Design and integrate APIs that support scalable, content-driven applications.
• Implement and optimize application performance through CDN strategies, application-level caching, and efficient content delivery patterns.
• Develop content retrieval solutions using search indexing, tagging systems, and Elasticsearch-style search architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product, marketing, design, and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Work within containerized environments using Docker and contribute to CI/CD and deployment workflows.
• Support and maintain integrations involving React, Node.js/TypeScript, and light Ruby development where required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building applications with React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Previous experience in an agency environment or working on marketing and customer-facing digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of headless CMS architecture, preferably Contentful.
• Experience with API design and integration.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized development environments.
• Familiarity with Liquid templating and exposure to Ruby is preferred.
• Experience implementing search, indexing, tagging, and content retrieval systems.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, caching strategies, and CDN architecture.
