ServiceNow Senior Developer

About the Opportunity

Salt is supporting a leading global technology consultancy in the recruitment of an experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer to work on complex enterprise implementations, enhancements and transformation programmes.

We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on developer with broad ServiceNow platform knowledge and the ability to design, develop and deliver scalable solutions across multiple modules.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, business analysts and customer stakeholders to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement scalable ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements.
• Build and customise solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD and custom applications.
• Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions and Flow Designer automations.
• Build and maintain Service Catalog items, workflows and portal functionality.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
• Support CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management and related platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain Scoped Applications.
• Participate in technical design reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide technical solutions.
• Support deployments, upgrades, testing and production environments.
• Collaborate with technical architects, business analysts and enterprise customers.

Essential Requirements:

• 8-12+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, Service Catalog, CMDB, Discovery and Asset Management.
• Advanced JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting capabilities.
• Strong experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes and Flow Designer.
• Experience with Integration Hub and Scoped Applications.
• Hands-on REST/SOAP integration development.
• Knowledge of MID Servers, LDAP, SSO and third-party integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
