Software Engineer(golang)

Salt is currently hiring a Software Engineer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

Role is paying 110-117 euros an hour and you require kvk/zzp. This is a 6 month contract with 2 days a week on site in Amsterdam.

Our client is building the platform that powers engineering insights, software delivery metrics, and AI-driven decision-making across the organisation.

By combining modern data platforms, cloud-native technologies, and agentic GenAI, we enable teams to turn data into actionable insights at scale. As we expand into new business domains, we’re looking for an experienced engineer to help shape the future of our platform.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services and internal developer tools.
• Develop production-ready applications and rapid prototypes using modern technologies.
• Build reliable data pipelines and platform capabilities that serve teams across the business.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
• Champion engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Explore and apply emerging AI technologies, including LLMs and agentic systems, to deliver real business value.

What You’ll Bring

• 8-12 years of software engineering experience building scalable platforms or distributed systems.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and modern backend development.
• Experience with Python, Go, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• A solid understanding of software design, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or data-driven systems.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to turn complex ideas into practical solutions.
• Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for learning and applying new technologies.
