Senior Embedded Software Security Engineer
Location: Hybrid | Fort Collins, Spring, or Chippewa Falls
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded security features in low-level software environments
- Implement authentication, encryption, and secure communication protocols
- Work on secure firmware, device integrity, and platform hardening initiatives
- Partner with hardware and systems teams on security architecture and validation
- Support vulnerability analysis, remediation, and secure update frameworks
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience
- Strong C/C++ experience in embedded or systems-level environments
- Background in embedded security, cryptography, or secure device communication
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems or RTOS environments
- Strong debugging and hardware/software integration skills
Nice to Have
- Python or scripting for automation/testing
- Exposure to OTA/update security workflows
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives
- Familiarity with compliance/security standards
- Background in enterprise, edge, or IoT platforms
