Business Relationship Manager

Auckland | Fixed-Term Contract to end of year (Potential Extension)

Join a high-profile infrastructure programme and become the trusted point of contact for Auckland’s leading property developers, infrastructure partners, and strategic customers.

We’re seeking an experienced relationship manager who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and enjoys solving problems, building trusted partnerships, and driving outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of property development, infrastructure, and customer engagement, supporting projects that are critical to Auckland’s growth.

About the Role

This is not a traditional sales or business development role.

As Business Relationship Manager, you’ll act as the key relationship lead and escalation point for major developers, infrastructure partners, and strategic customers. You’ll help customers navigate complex processes, coordinate internal stakeholders, and resolve issues that may impact project timelines.

Success in this role will come from your ability to build credibility, influence without authority, and bring the right people together to achieve positive outcomes.

You’ll become a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they have a clear pathway through the organisation and a dedicated contact when projects become delayed, complicated, or difficult to navigate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property developers, infrastructure partners, and strategic customers.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customers requiring support across complex projects.
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting project delivery, timelines, and customer experience.
  • Coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Advocate for customers while balancing operational and business requirements.
  • Facilitate clear communication and provide transparency throughout project lifecycles.
  • Understand customers’ development pipelines and future infrastructure requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience.

About You

You’ll be an experienced stakeholder manager who enjoys working in fast-paced, complex environments and has a reputation for building strong relationships and getting things done.

You may bring experience from:

  • Property development
  • Infrastructure delivery
  • Utilities
  • Construction
  • Civil engineering
  • Telecommunications
  • Local government
  • Major capital projects
  • Strategic stakeholder engagement roles

You’ll also bring:

  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to navigate competing priorities and complex organisational structures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A customer-first mindset and proactive approach.
  • Experience resolving issues and driving outcomes in large project environments.

What’s On Offer

  • Fixed-term contract to end of 2026 with potential for extension.
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile development and infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure to Auckland’s leading developers and industry stakeholders.
  • A role where you can make a visible impact and influence customer outcomes.
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.

If you’re a natural relationship builder who can navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and keep projects moving, we’d love to hear from you. Please call Liam on 022 400 4144 for a confidential conversation or Apply now.
