Strategy & Partnerships Lead (Project)
12 weeks | London | Hybrid | £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the development and delivery of major corporate and cross-cutting strategies
· Produce high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and strategic documents for senior leaders and elected Members
· Use data, research, resident insight and policy analysis to inform strategic decision-making
· Monitor national and regional policy developments and produce options appraisals and recommendations
· Support the development of corporate priorities, transformation programmes and financial sustainability objectives
· Engage and influence senior stakeholders, government departments, partner organisations and sector networks
· Work collaboratively with residents, Members, services and external partners to shape future policy direction
· Drive innovation and contribute to organisational change and improvement initiatives
· Translate complex policy and strategic issues into clear, actionable recommendations
· Provide mentoring and line management support to a Strategy Lead
· Manage multiple strategic projects and competing priorities effectively
Essential Experience
· Significant experience leading strategy development within a complex public sector environment
· Strong understanding of local government, public policy and public service reform
· Experience producing strategic reports and briefings for Executive Directors, Cabinet Members, Chief Executives or equivalent senior stakeholders
· Proven ability to analyse complex information and communicate recommendations clearly and effectively
· Experience engaging residents, partners and stakeholders in the co-production of policy and strategy
· Strong knowledge of horizon scanning, policy development and options appraisal techniques
· Experience operating successfully within politically sensitive environments

Important Information
· Local government or wider public sector experience is preferred
· Applicants must be UK residents. No visa sponsorship or visa options are available for this role
· This role is hybrid working, with no fully remote option
· Occasional attendance at meetings outside normal working hours may be required
