My client navigates complexity to deliver exceptional outcomes for their clients and stakeholders. They are looking for a Technical Director with strong procurement expertise and a passion for infrastructure to drive strategic, commercial, and project success across their service line.
About the Role
As a Technical Director, you will provide technical leadership and management across everything procurement and commercial, ensuring seamless delivery and collaboration across the business. You’ll shape strategies, build client relationships, and lead a high-performing team to deliver procurement and commercial excellence in major infrastructure related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the procurement and commercial service line, implementing strategies that strengthen market position.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering procurement solutions and insights that maximise value and mitigate risk.
- Drive business planning and financial performance, achieving profitable revenue targets.
- Partner with leaders to resource and develop a high-performance team culture.
- Identify market trends and opportunities for service line growth.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
About You
- Experience:
- 15+ years’ professional experience, including 5+ years in infrastructure-related procurement and commercial activities.
- Proven track record in procurement strategy, tendering, and contract management for infrastructure related projects.
- Knowledge of the NZ Government procurement guidelines
- Stakeholder management expertise at an executive level.
- Leadership experience within a complex environment
- Skills:
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of professional services requirements.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Knowledge of project management and procurement
You will be degree qualified and ideally hold a professional procurement qualification (CIPS, MCIPS, etc.)
