AI Staff Engineer (B2C Product)

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced AI-first Full Stack Engineer who enjoys solving complex product problems rather than simply implementing requirements. You’ll work across the entire technology stack, designing and building AI-native features that reach production quickly. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll collaborate directly with leadership to shape product direction while building real-world AI applications that customers use every day.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and deploy production-ready AI features from concept through launch.
• Develop AI agents, RAG pipelines, tool integrations and intelligent workflows.
• Own the full application stack including frontend, backend, APIs, databases and model integrations.
• Build reliable evaluation frameworks, telemetry and feedback loops for AI products.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend pragmatic solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to solve real customer problems.
• Ship quickly, iterate often and continuously improve the product experience.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building production full-stack applications.
• Strong experience with modern TypeScript and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic or open-source models.
• Experience building AI products using agents, RAG, structured outputs and evaluation frameworks.
• Comfortable owning projects from architecture through deployment.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to make technical and business trade-off decisions.
• Evidence of building outside of work through open source, side projects or publicly available products.

Nice to Have:

• Open-source contributions.
• AI applications with active users.
• Experience with vector databases and agent frameworks.
• Marketplace, logistics or commerce experience.
• Startup or founding engineer experience.
