Salary: Up to £60,000
Location: London
Work Pattern: Hybrid, 2 days WFH
About the Company
Our client is a large, purpose-led consumer organisation operating in a complex, highly visible environment. The business combines commercial ambition with a strong emphasis on responsible business, positive social impact and supporting communities.
The Role
This is a permanent planning role sitting at the centre of a broad communications function. You’ll bring greater rigour and consistency to how campaigns and communications are planned, prioritised and delivered, acting as the central point connecting multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
Rather than being a hands-on creative campaign role, the focus is on making the whole communications operation work effectively, connecting strategy, planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain integrated communications roadmaps, ensuring activity is prioritised and aligned to business objectives.
- Coordinate annual, quarterly and ongoing planning cycles, translating strategic priorities into clear plans, timelines and delivery roadmaps.
- Act as the central point of coordination across communications, marketing and wider business teams.
- Manage dependencies, risks, priorities, approvals and delivery challenges across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Bring greater structure, consistency and governance to campaign planning from initial brief through to delivery.
- Use reporting, measurement and KPIs to provide visibility of performance and support decision-making.
- Turn campaign and communications performance data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Build alignment across multiple stakeholders, audiences and channels.
About You
- A strong planning background, with experience across roadmaps, governance, reporting, prioritisation and stakeholder alignment.
- Experience within integrated communications, corporate affairs, PR, internal communications or marketing communications.
- Strong programme or campaign planning capability, including timelines, dependencies, risks, approvals and delivery.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams and competing priorities within a complex or matrix environment.
- Comfortable using insight, reporting and KPIs to support decisions and measure effectiveness.
- Confident influencing without authority and working with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, process-driven and able to bring clarity to complexity.
- Resilient and comfortable constructively challenging senior stakeholders when priorities need to be resolved.
Nice to Haves
- Agency-side planning experience, or a combination of agency and in-house experience.
- Experience working across several communications disciplines and understanding how they connect.
- Experience supporting senior leadership with planning, reporting and strategic priorities.
Benefits
- Company bonus scheme.
- Matched pension contributions up to 8.5%.
- 26 days’ annual leave, plus two additional days and bank holidays.
- Private medical cover and life assurance.
- £500 wellness allowance.
- Access to wellbeing support and financial coaching.
Why would you want to join/do the job?
This is a great opportunity for a planner who enjoys bringing order to complexity. You’ll have visibility across a broad communications agenda, influence how priorities are organised and delivered, and work closely with senior stakeholders in an environment where strong planning can make a tangible difference.
