About the Role:
My client is looking for a dynamic Communications & PR Manager to lead external communications, media relations, and public relations efforts. This role is perfect for a strategic storyteller who can elevate the brand, strengthen media presence, and create meaningful connections with key audiences. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s voice and reputation.

What You’ll Do:

Strategy & Business Impact

  • Develop and implement robust communication and PR strategies that align with overall business goals.
  • Monitor public opinion, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform strategies.
  • Track, measure, and analyse the impact of communication campaigns to ensure they deliver results.

Operations & Content Management

  • Craft high-quality content across internal and external channels, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
  • Develop press kits, brand messaging guides, and other communications tools.
  • Plan and manage PR events, press conferences, and media briefings, coordinating logistics and preparing spokespeople for public appearances.

Media & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers.
  • Identify and pursue media opportunities and partnerships that enhance awareness and engagement.

Organisational Leadership

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure communication initiatives support business objectives.
  • Lead internal communication efforts that reinforce culture and align teams with messaging.

Other Responsibilities

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support leadership and other departments as needed with communications-related projects.

Who You Are:

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., crisis communications, reputation management) are a plus.

Experience & Skills:

  • 7-10 years in communications and PR, with 3-4 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven success in media relations and corporate communications.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong planning, time management, and organisational abilities.
  • Comfortable working with digital media and social platforms.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
