Founding AI Transformation Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing technology company transforming operations through AI. Rather than simply adding AI features to existing products, they’re rebuilding internal systems from the ground up using modern AI architecture and automation.

They’re looking for a hands-on engineer who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving business problems through technology.

About the Role

This is not a traditional software engineering position.

You’ll act as the architect, engineer, and product owner for AI initiatives across the business. Working directly with operational leaders, you’ll identify inefficiencies, design scalable AI-powered solutions, build them, and continuously improve them after deployment.

There are no product managers writing specifications. You’ll own projects from idea through production.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build AI-first internal platforms.
• Translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop AI agents and workflow automation.
• Build operational dashboards and internal tools.
• Integrate AI with CRM, workflow, and third-party platforms.
• Own architecture, implementation, deployment, and adoption.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders.
• Drive AI transformation across multiple teams.

Requirements:

• Extensive Full Stack engineering experience.
• Strong Node.js and React (or similar).
• Experience building production AI applications.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, AI agents, orchestration, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n or similar).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Strong API design and systems architecture experience.
• Excellent business acumen and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction.

• Startup or founding engineer experience.
• HubSpot integrations.
• Browser automation.
• MongoDB.
• Restaurant, logistics or marketplace experience.
