Multimedia Designer

We are looking for a Multimedia Designer to join the in-house creative team of one of South Africa’s leading financial services brands in Cape Town. This is a hands-on production role for someone who can design and animate content that performs on social, working at pace inside a tightly defined brand system.

What You Will Be Doing

Working closely with copywriters, social strategists, and video editors, you will create platform-optimised content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. You will design visuals that are thumb-stopping, mobile-first, and performance-driven, and animate motion graphics for stories, reels, and video intros and outros.

You will track trending formats and translate them into the brand’s voice, adapting work rapidly in response to cultural moments, seasonal relevance, and platform opportunities. You will also build and maintain reusable templates for stories, highlights, posts, and reels, optimising workflows so that high-volume content ships consistently and on time. Maintaining brand consistency across every format is central to this role.

What We Are Looking For

• 5 plus years of experience in social media design or digital content creation
• A strong portfolio of paid media and social-first work that includes motion content
• Strong motion design and animation skills, this is roughly half the role and an essential requirement
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
• Proficiency in Figma
• Confidence working within established brand systems in fast-paced environments
• Strong design sense, attention to detail, and platform awareness
• A relevant degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field
• Clear criminal and credit record
