Senior Android Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join a high-performing mobile engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on innovative mobile products at scale, contributing to features that directly impact the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications and features.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and fellow Engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Build scalable, reliable, and performant mobile solutions that enhance the user experience.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while continuously improving code quality.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application stability and maintainability.
• Work within an Agile environment, iterating quickly and adapting to evolving business needs.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Android development and modern mobile architecture patterns.
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience working with asynchronous programming patterns.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy codebases.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience designing scalable solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
