Account Manager – Sponsorship & Partnerships
Location: Johannesburg
Salary: R250,000 to R350000 pa + commission
About the Role
A leading organisation in the sport and entertainment industry is seeking an Account Manager to support the delivery of sponsorships and commercial partnerships.
This role focuses on client management, campaign coordination, and ensuring the successful execution of partnership agreements across a dynamic portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage relationships with brand partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders
* Support the development of sponsorship packages and commercial proposals
* Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and approvals
* Track commercial assets, inventory, and contract fulfilment
* Assist with campaign activation and post-campaign reporting
* Monitor market trends and provide insights into sponsorship activity
* Support financial tracking, budgeting, and contract administration
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sponsorship, commercial, or account management role
* Strong client management and communication skills
* Excellent organisational and project management abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel
Advantageous
* Experience within sport, entertainment, or media
* Understanding of sponsorship value and media metrics
* Relevant degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to work extended hours when required
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Willingness to travel when required
