AI Prompt Engineer – Contract

SALT is supporting a specialist consultancy / digital content-led business that is building scalable AI-driven content capabilities.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This contract Prompt Engineer role focuses on designing, training, and refining an AI agent to consistently produce high‑quality, search‑optimised, publishable content. The objective is to translate editorial and SEO strategy into robust prompt systems, evaluation frameworks, and repeatable AI workflows. You’ll work closely with content, SEO, and strategy stakeholders to embed quality standards into AI outputs.

KEY CONTRACT DETAILS

• 2‑week contract, Outside IR35
• Fully remote working in UK
• £400 per day

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design and refine system prompts and prompt chains for content‑generation AI agents
• Train and evaluate AI outputs against editorial, SEO, and quality benchmarks
• Embed semantic SEO, E‑E‑A‑T principles, structure, and tone into AI workflows
• Build evaluation frameworks to assess content quality, consistency, and readiness for publication
• Translate content strategy into scalable, repeatable AI processes
• Optimise AI‑generated content for search performance and editorial standards

ABOUT YOU

• Experience designing and refining prompts for LLMs or AI content agents
• Background in technical copywriting, content strategy, or SEO‑led content production
• Strong understanding of semantic SEO and E‑E‑A‑T principles
• Experience producing or optimising B2B and/or financial services content
• Comfortable working with AI workflows, prompt systems, and evaluation frameworks
