Donor Engagement Representative

About the Organisation:

Salt has partnered with a respected Christian non-profit that is dedicated to transforming lives in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. Their team is united by faith, driven by purpose, and committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Our client is looking for a temporary outbound representative to engage with donors about a recent bequest campaign.

About the Role:

• Starting September 1st, 1-2 month temporary assignment
• 9am – 3pm, Monday to Friday (in office)
• Location: North Shore, Rosedale
• $28 per hour + 8% holiday pay

Day to Day you will:

• Make outbound calls to donors as part of a targeted bequest campaign.
• Engage donors in meaningful, respectful conversations about their connection to the organisation and its mission.
• Build rapport quickly and communicate with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
• Follow approved scripts, messaging, and compliance guidelines while adapting conversations naturally.
• Handle donor questions and objections confidently, providing clear and accurate information.

About you:

You’re a confident communicator with a warm, empathetic approach and a knack for motivating others. You know how to build rapport quickly, thrive by having meaningful conversations and know how to handle objections with professionalism and care.

• Proven contact centre experience within outbound sales or fundraising
• Exceptional verbal communication and listening skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scripts and protocols
• A polite, respectful, and compassionate manner
